Since establishing her business, Fibers and Floors in 2002, Susan Steel has been creating custom living spaces by combining her expertise in design and years of product knowledge. As a flooring and window treatment dealer Susan brings to her projects an additional speciality. 

Susan grew up with a father in the furniture business and a mother who filled their home with the sound of music, modern art, color and richly patterned fabrics. These early influences helped shape and inspire a passion for helping clients with their interior projects.

As Billy Baldwin, the renowned designer said, “Be faithful to your own taste because nothing you really like is ever out of style.”

Susan’s design aesthetic is always guided by a client’s vision and personal story. Her own eclectic style mixes traditional elements with touches of special details resulting in an unexpected and timeless atmosphere. From one room to the entire home, the achievement of crafting a unique and customized living environment for someone is Susan’s greatest joy as a designer.
